Where did love go?
When did it become the norm for young girls to trade sex for love? When did a young man's adulthood become determine by sexual acts? When did love stop being love, and instead transformed itself into awkward moments of inexperienced passion in the back seat of your mom's car? When did we decide to fall in love for what we could get instead of loving for the sake of love? Where in time did we decide to barter our hearts for a diamond ring, or our precious fruit for a handbag? Whose idea was it to trade sex for a new outfit or VIP at the club? What decision allowed it to become ok to corrupt the innocence of a virgin for a quick nut thru whispered promises of love? When did we start confusing the emotional with the material? Why did we stop believing in love and magic of it all, why did we stop loving? I have always heard that love never fails; I wonder is that true? Maybe it is not that love has failed, maybe it is we who have failed and taken love away from love...
