The Burden I Bear

So quickly it happened, I ignored the bleed, then the pain of death brought me to my knees. Life and death of an unborn child fleeing the womb, flowing into the wild. Rejecting the present of this so called life, refusing to endure a future of pain and strife. If only I could agonize of what has become, but I can't face the mirror and see what I have become. Fate has punished me, taken away my joy, stripped from me the title "carrier of life," depleting my happiness of discovering a girl or a boy. My failure I carry, no choice but to bear this shame, if only I could gain a second chance, if only things could change.
