Who Created the Golddigger
Men, you have some fault in this matter. What am I talking about, you may wonder? Well let me enlighten you, I'm talking about this so called "gold digger" epidemic that is running rampant, especially in the Black community. Men, you keep saying you're tired of women looking at you for your wallet or what you can do for them, but how many of you are catering to their whims and desires? How many of you are so desperate for some constant pussy, that you are willing to trade cooking for Chanel, love for Louie, and goals for Gucci. If anyone should be held responsible for the lack of honest ambition that is evident in our young women, it's the men that accept this behavior and constantly complain about it instead of demanding a change. Don't get me wrong, I find these women somewhat despicable and find it very demeaning to women as a whole that they would barter their pride and dignity for temporary wealth. I find it very disheartening that women have chosen the alternative of being a "gold digger" over making their own way in life and choosing their own path or destiny. Personally, I think the only way for this epidemic to be eradicated is for men to stop accepting this behavior from women and stop settling for relationships that are based on this type of mentality. In the same token, women need to have more respect for themselves, and stop allowing themselves to be defined in that manner. It's bad enough that songs such as Tierra Marie's "Sponsor" glorify using men for material gain even if it means selling your body or your dreams to do it.
